The Teacher is responsible to assess, develop and implement an education plan based on the patient's learning needs. The teacher will also be a liaison with the patient's home district and is a an integral member of the treatment team in developing the continuing care plan with regards to educational services post discharge. Qualifications 2-3 years experience working in Psychiatric Mental Health setting Bachelors Degree in Education required. Masters Degree preferred PA Elementary or Secondary Education Certification. Experience and knowledge in child/adolescent development; emotional/behavioral disorders in young people, classroom management; PA core curriculum standards. Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, classroom management, and positive reinforcement Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
