PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNSHIP The Baltimore Orioles Public Relations Internship is a paid position for approximately 40 hours per week beginning in late January 2025 through the end of the baseball season. Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist with the writing, editing, and publication of baseball information materials, including pregame notes, postgame notes, stat packs, media guide, and Postseason guide Write and edit for various team publications, including the Birdland Insider blog and press releases Monitor and compile press clips from local and national media outlets each morning and maintain the clips tracking document Copy and distribute all gameday materials throughout the ballpark Distribute credentials to media members and coordinate media needs Assist with press box preparation and maintenance, including upkeep of the PR workroom Assist with press box announcements Escort special guests and assist with events as needed Assist with coordinating the promotion of upcoming giveaway items with local TV and radio stations Support media outreach and media events as needed Qualifications: Outgoing personality and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences including media, general public, fans, and players Superior writing skills Knowledge of baseball and the Orioles organization Familiarity with statistical research programs (Baseball Reference, FanGraphs, MLB Research Tool, Statcast, STATS, etc.) is preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe InDesign is preferred Prior experience with a sports team or college sports information department is preferred Prior experience writing game notes is preferred Ability to commit long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the season and potential Postseason Interested Candidates - please submit a resume and cover letter with your application.
