Job Title: Senior Specialist Software Engineer Job Code: 16368 Job Location: Dulles, VA Job Description: L3Harris is seeking to hire a Software Engineer with a desire to develop software applications and participate in the entire software development life cycle. Essential Functions: Lead/participate in the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones. Drive/Support continuous iterative agile software development in C/C++ and Python Collaborate with Systems and Integration and test engineers to ensure design and implementation meet customer requirements. Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends Develop unit tests and support software integration efforts Qualifications: Bachelors and 6-9 years of experience or Master's degree 4 - 7 years of expeince in Computer Science or other related technical discipline. In lieu of degree, 8-11 years of software experience. 6 to 8 years of professional C/C++ software development experience required. Education and/or background in satellite communications Good understanding of inter process communication and multi-threaded programming Experience with Linux systems and network programming Expert knowledge of MySQL database. C++ Unit test experience. Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps Strong problem solving and software debugging skills Ability to multitask across multiple projects/initiatives Familiarity with configuration management processes and tools Active Secret Level Security Clearance Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with UML documentation (sequence diagrams) TS/SCI eligible In compliance with the equal pay act, the salary range for this role in $129,500.00 - $240,500.00.
