Reporting to the Scotch 80 General Manager, the Assistant Manager is to assist in providing direction and leadership for the restaurant service team. Core Job Responsibilities: They share responsibility for: leading the team to achieve the operational and financial goals of the venue; monitoring the performance, scheduling and training of the staff; executing initiatives, maintaining the facilities and ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience Assists with incoming calls, answering guest questions and reservation requests Strategically plots reservations, and appropriately accommodates walk-ins to ensure a smooth shift Provides team with an initial table set-up to ensure a smooth flow of guests into the dining room Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, fiscal budgets, basic POS troubleshooting, labor productivity, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, guest service standards, and execution of marketing strategies to produce short-term profitability Execute on the restaurant's business plan and assist the General Manager with developing and executing tactics to achieve goals and targets Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, menus, rules and regulations for the restaurant staff Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation and cleanliness within all areas of the venue Responsible for completion of all company compliance training by the restaurant staff React immediately to any guest complaints and take appropriate action to resolve the situation Manages restaurant's guest feedback channels through approved company practices Work alongside the culinary team to ensure a seamless service experience between kitchen and dining room Maintains excellent knowledge of the venue's food & beverage products, menu items and equipment used to perform duties Perform other job-related duties as requested Qualifications: Four (4) years of assistant restaurant management experience required, preferably in fine dining and/or steakhouse environment A good understanding of beer, wine and spirits is required. Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e., telephone, copier, fax machine. Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills. Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience preferred Alcohol awareness Card and Southern Nevada Health Card required Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. An equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above. Demonstrated experience developing department goals and action plans in accordance with property and overall company goals. Physical Demands: Work is performed in a fine dining restaurant setting. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. May be exposed to smoke The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, players, and guests. Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Eye/hand coordination.
