We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Biologics Coordinator at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants of Albany New York The Biologics Coordinator Responsibilities are : Obtains necessary clinical information from the medical record, provider, and assistance program to process proper authorizations. Completes and submits pre-authorization forms to insurance companies on patients' behalf. Navigates the complexities with the insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations quickly. Follows up on denied drug prior approval requests. Remains informed about specific insurance requirements for each biologic. Maintains accurate records of all biologic transactions. Determines which patients require financial support and facilitates assistance in obtaining financial help. Monitors current authorizations and submits timely for additional authorization as necessary. Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service. Communicates with all new infusion patients on medication approvals, insurance benefits, and out of pocket costs. Works closely with physicians and infusion nurses Other duties as assigned. The Biologics Coordinator must have the following qualifications and experience: High School graduate or GED.
