Machinist

Description The Machinist position is part of the Machine Department Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following): Perform set up on manual lathes and/or mills Verifies conformance of finished work piece(s) to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate production Loads and unloads parts, operating multiple machines as needed Stays on task and ensures current day scheduled work is completed on time Maintains an organized, safe, and clean work area Performs other duties as assigned. Systems Used Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) SyteLine UKG Requirements Completion of a technical program in machining preferred Experience with manual machining on a mill or lathe preferred 1-2 years experience setting up manual machines Experience running a Waterjet machine preferred Strong problem solving and math skills Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Experience in reading blueprints.
