Payroll Accountant III HYBRID

Our client in the data storage industry is seeking a Payroll Accountant III to join their team. As a Payroll Accountant III, you will be part of the accounting department supporting payroll accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work independently, and possess a thorough understanding of payroll systems. Job Title: Payroll Accountant III Location: Milpitas, CA Pay Range: Based on experience Month contract with possible extension/ Hybrid schedule 3 days a week, Mon, Wed, Thurs. What's the Job? Perform all US payroll and payroll tax journal entries Prepare payroll & related account reconciliations on a monthly basis Partner with other functions, such as human resources, stock plan administration, benefits, and provide guidance regarding payroll accounting matters Support new business or benefit plan initiatives and implement relevant new processes Develop, enhance or maintain an effective internal control environment in various aspects of payroll accounting What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of payroll and general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a global publicly-traded company Proficiency in federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations Working knowledge of US GAAP and proficiency with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control compliance Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization What's in it for me?
