Job Summary: The Financial Operations Specialist is responsible for managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and maintaining accurate manufacturing records. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial operations are smooth, efficient, and compliant with company standards, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The Financial Operations Specialist is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining manufacturing records. Job Responsibilities: Review Invoices for Appropriate Documentation and Approval Before Payment Create Weekly Check Runs for Accounts Payable Checks Assist with Monthly Closings Perform reconciliations and prepare general ledger entries Review and Approve Invoices Assist with Billing and Credit/Collections Prepare invoices for Scrap sales Complete and submit the Monthly M3 census form Prepare analysis of accounts, as required Audit expense receipts Scan and index invoices Maintain AR and AP reports & spreadsheets Monitor job auditing and job closings to provide accuracy in job costing Participate in physical inventories Prepare weekly cash flow forecasting Assist the Corporate Accounting Director and Manager as necessary Maintain subcontractor receipts for selected subcontractors Prepare bank deposits and provide detailed information to corporate for posting Maintain customer receipt spreadsheets to support corporate A/R posting of payments Perform all other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Strong Problem-Solving and Quality-Control Skills: Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and compliance Working Understanding of Bookkeeping Procedures: A solid grasp of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices to accurately manage financial records Reliable Job History: A history of consistent and reliable work performance in previous roles, particularly in financial or accounting positions High School Graduate or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Some college-level coursework in accounting or finance is a plus EPICOR Experience Preferred: Prior experience working with EPICOR software is preferred, as it is commonly used for financial tracking and operations in the manufacturing industry Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions, data entry, and documentation. Analyzing Information: Proficient in analyzing financial data and identifying trends, discrepancies, or opportunities for process improvement Data Entry Skills: High level of accuracy and speed in entering financial data into the company's system Math Skills: Good understanding of basic math principles and the ability to perform calculations related to financial operations Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
