Overview We are looking for a Principal level iOS Engineer to help architect our Mobile App for the next 2-3 years of growth. Our app is currently built using React Native, Typescript, Micro Services, GQL and hosted on AWS. Ideal candidate would have designed/architected mobile apps with high quality, stability, and lower latency. As a Principal iOS Engineer, you will drive the re-architecture of our app from React Native to native iOS mobile technologies, making key decisions that will shape the future of our mobile product. If you thrive on strategic leadership and influencing technical direction at scale, this role is for you! What You'll Do Design and architect our iOS mobile app to scale for > 5MM active users. Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, code quality, and product quality. Mentor the engineers to further their professional development. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure we build high-quality features. Work with stakeholders from product, marketing, and risk teams on initiatives aligning with our KPIs and business priorities Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to enhance the Credit Genie product suite and maintain our competitive edge Leverage Gen AI to improve Developer productivity, code quality, and product quality Requirements Demonstrated experience with organizational-wide impact building iOS consumer-facing applications at scale (5MM+ active users) Experience in either Obj-C or Swift. 10+ years of professional mobile development experience Deep understanding of mobile app UX best practices Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and to keep projects on schedule. BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. Entrepreneurial spirit. You are self-directed and innovative, you build trust and are biased towards action in fast-paced environments. You love to build new things and thrive in ambiguity and even failure. You care about innovation. Additional knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus. Nice to haves Experience in payments processing (ACH, CreditCards). This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
