Job Details Level Management Job Location Home Office - Chicago, IL Remote Type N/A Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Salary Range Undisclosed Travel Percentage Up to 50% Job Shift Day Job Category Management Description Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee sales performance and operational efficiency across assigned locations within the region. Lead, mentor, and manage Location Leaders to ensure profitability and growth. Hire, train, and develop Location Leaders to meet sales and operational goals effectively. Collaborate with Location Leaders to establish and track sales goals for each location, developing Key Account Managers (KAM) and Supply Account Managers (SAM) to ensure action plans are in place to drive profitable sales with Key and Growth Accounts, and to attract new customers. Consistently evaluate and provide feedback to Location Leaders to drive high performance and profitability. Inspire, coach, and develop direct reports, addressing performance gaps and instilling a passion for profit. Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Leadership and Profitability Focus Provide strategic leadership across the region, focusing on achieving sales goals and maximizing profitability. Collaborate with Location Leaders to establish sales goals, ensure action plans are in place, and drive customer retention and acquisition. Analyze regional sales data to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and set targets for market expansion and profitability. Partner with the marketing team to design targeted promotions and programs that boost sales and introduce new products or services. Operational Excellence and Market Competitiveness Stay informed of market trends, competitor strategies, and industry best practices to ensure the region remains competitive and profitable. Identify areas for operational and sales improvements, working with teams to implement training, goals, and strategies that enhance productivity and profit margins. Lead regular sales meetings to share insights, adjust strategies, and maintain high team morale focused on results. Budget Management Develop and manage the region's budget, ensuring costs are controlled while meeting sales and profitability targets. Oversee safety programs and compliance, ensuring all locations adhere to company standards. Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Initiatives Collaborate with the Home Office to align regional efforts with broader company goals, focusing on growth, performance, and operational excellence. Drive regional initiatives with a focus on profitability, market growth, and efficient operations. Perform other duties as directed by senior leadership to support overall business goals. Skills and Abilities: Strong financial acumen and data-driven approach to maximize profitability. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and drive results. Proven sales expertise and customer service skills, with a focus on negotiation and closing deals. Leadership capabilities with a passion for driving team performance and profit growth. Deep knowledge of company products/services and competitive offerings in the market. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant sales software. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. Capability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally (80 pounds in team lifts). Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region (25-50%). Special / Education Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; OR extensive experience as sales manager required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience •10+ years of store management experience •5+ years of people management in a large distribution environment (50+ employees) •Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, and Word .
