Territory Sales Manager - TERRI DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Guided by The High Philosophy, High Steel Service Center is a customer-focused, full-line metal service center that is committed to "Building Trustworthy Relationships" and "Being Innovative Leaders". The Territory Manager will report directly to the Vice President- Sales and Marketing and work with the Stainless and Aluminum Product Managers, the Inside Sales Manager and Inside Sales team in a collaborative role providing support, market feedback, input, and direction to achieve HSSC's goals for Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Carbon Steel. Individual will be responsible for managing the volume, margin and profitability of existing and new customers and customer satisfaction goals. Individual will also assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for these products. Essential Job Functions: * Territory Manager would manage day to day activities and profitable growth of their Territory including new business development from their existing customers * Continually identify new potential customers * Initiate and cultivate strong business relationships to sell these customers * Spend majority of their time meeting face to face with existing and potential new customers. * Support product management marketing efforts to achieve Territory goals for volume, margin, and profit * Contract management and administration at the Customer level * Support sourcing and production planning with Supply Chain team * Resolve quality related issues (in coordination with our Operations team) Skills/Qualifications: * 4-year degree in business or related discipline * Knowledge of metals industry preferred, but not required * Assertive and determined personality, naturally inclined to sales * Demonstrated business to business sales success * Effective written and oral communications skills * Reputation of high character and integrity * Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently * Computer and technical skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, and ERP software (SAP a plus) Working for The High Companies: * Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisor. * Employee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencing. * High Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of High co-workers working at least 1,000 hours per year and employed for at least two years.
