At Ports America, the Financial Analyst provides accounting, reporting, and financial analysis of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly operating results. The role will also be involved in long-term financial planning and budgeting for the site. This Financial Analyst interacts directly with the key operational and financial leaders of the various business units. The position requires the ability and drive to provide high quality, accurate work products within tight timeframes. Essential Duties : Reviews financial transactions Prepares financial reports required by management Provides analysis and write-ups of financial results Prepares weekly production reports Prepares budget/forecast submissions to corporate office Develops and inputs corporate budget into the financial system Compiles and summarizes customer data (volume, revenue, etc....) monthly to report to management or department heads Uses Oracle GL and SAP BPC to develop financial reports. Assists in various ad-hoc reporting as needed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline 1+ years of financial analysis experience. Preferred Qualifications: Maritime, logistics, or supply chain industry experience. Ability to work accurately under very tight timeframes. Solid experience in financial writing (like MD&A section of 10K's) Experience with Oracle, BPC, or similar financial systems. Strong communication and management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to properly interact with management and business units. Customer service orientation and leadership/influencing skills. Strong orientation toward driving results. Navigates effectively in a changing environment where competing priorities require flexibility and agility. Detail oriented.
