Substitute Custodians

Position Type: Custodial/Maintenance/Matrons/Custodian Date Posted: 11/15/2022 Closing Date: Until Filled Position Summary: Substitue Custodian. Part-time as needed. Benefits are not available with this position. Custodial maintenance-district wide are responsible for maintaining the general conditions of the building and grounds under their care. Qualifications: Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be familiar with current operating systems. Experience: 1-3 years experience is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Fulfill essential functions. Appropriate safety precautions and procedures. Work cooperatively with others. Functions/Duties/Responsibilities: Custodial maintenance personnel have the responsibility to: The custodial and maintenance personnel have the responsibility to perform all custodial and maintenance jobs assigned by the supervisor of buildings & grounds and/or the assistant. These include cleaning, minor repairs, snow removal, and care of the grounds. The custodial and maintenance personnel have the responsibility to: Cut grass in designated areas (seasonal). Snow removal - shoveling (seasonal). Infectious waste is picked up from buildings, twice a day at the Middle School. Clean bathrooms under the press box. Pick up cardboard from Gockley loading dock, daily. Administration trash Change marquees Clean up administration area for board meetings, clean windows, etc. Empty sports trash barrels during seasons. Change light bulbs in the Administration building. Fill gas cans for tractors. Deliver supplies to buildings. Weed whack assigned areas. Clean up from sporting events, such as basketball and football, etc. Planting and caretaking of all trees and shrubbery Wet mop pool deck weekly. Take pool water samples to Whitehall Water Authority weekly. Campus trash. Holds a pesticide technicians license for swimming pool. Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds and/or the Assistant.
