Role Overview: PIC - Philippines, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Liquid Genes Logistics Officer, a position that is located in our Ortigas Office on a hybrid working arrangement. Reporting to the Liquid Genes Logistics Team Leader, it has primary accountability for coordinating the order and delivery process of liquid genes to ensure the right product is served to the right customer in the most cost efficient way. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage liquid genes order process by consolidating availability and order forecasts and coordinating final orders with Contract Production Officers who are on site PIC multiplication farms Arrange timely and cost efficient mode of liquid genes transport from PIC multiplication farms to customer farms or designated pick up points; inform customer farms and PIC Account Manager regarding transport details and track product movements until delivery completion Continuously review different routes and delivery modes and recommend the most efficient and effective ones Facilitate the processing of Quality Assurance Report (QAR) by reviewing the forms before routing for approval and sending concerned team members QAR status report Monitor Third Party Transport Providers contracts and their compliance to service level agreements (SLA) and other agreed terms and conditions Process Third Party Transport Providers billings Train Third Party Transport Providers staffs on proper animal handling and delivery and audit actual delivery process to ensure compliance to PIC standards Submit regular reports to Liquid Genes Logistics Team Leader and update critical databases Process sales order report to ensure invoice generation is done by Finance within the agreed SLA Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision; Follow health and safety and biosecurity protocols of the company, partner multiplication farms and customer farms at all times Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Basic Qualifications (required): Willingness to learn continuously about different modes of transport and delivery, technological advances and best practices in the field of logistics; Has the ability to think outside the box and offer creative and cost effective solutions Works with minimum supervision and willingness to undertake work responsibilities outside of normal business hours. Able to learn about the PIC business, processes, customer requirements within a reasonable timeframe Strong customer orientation and an excellent service delivery mindset Above average planning and organisation skills Ability to communicate and coordinate detailed information across a variety of stakeholders; Has teamwork and collaborative mentality Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure Intermediate knowledge of MS office applications such as word, excel, powerpoint Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of logistics/transport or related course 2 or more years experience as logistics & transport officer, preferably in a logistics or swine industry Knowledge of PIC business Business Overview: Genus is an agricultural biotechnology pioneer.
