Duration: Multi-year contract Location: DC Metro Schedule: Hybrid work model - 2-3 days onsite Clearance: Active secret security clearance or higher required Travel : Occasional travel (10-15%) may be required for cyber testing events. We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide cyber support services to the PEO USC program offices. The Contractor shall provide Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) that will provide support services for internal management and technical issues and actions as required and in accordance with DoD Instructions 8570.01 and 8570.01-M. Key Responsibilities: Included are those activities necessary to plan, obtain and ensure Clinger Cohen Act (CCA) compliance. Support cyber security strategy to include anti-tamper efforts, as well as all programmatic, risk, contractual, testing, logistical and technical efforts across PEO USC program offices. Support RMF strategic planning. Support RMF metrics for a portfolio of systems. Support RMF-related SOPs, such as supporting package preparation and package review. Provide qualified cyber staff (Level I, II and III as well as SMEs) to ensure cyber compliance across PEO USC program office efforts. Provide support for CYBERSAFE planning and cyber programmatic guidance. Provide cyber support in all planned T&E events to include scenario development, supporting Tabletop Mission Cyber Risk Assessment and alternative risk assessment methods. Role Details: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with a focus on cyber acquisitions Works on cybersecurity in the context of DOD acquisitions processes, including ATOs, risk management frameworks, and the six-phase cyber process Understands the broader spectrum of cyber experience beyond just coding or network administration Involves overseeing vulnerability management, participating in cyber test events, and understanding how cybersecurity is implemented in the systems engineering process Must-Have Skills: 5-8+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, demonstrating expertise in risk assessment, incident management, and developing secure architectures. Must hold a current CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification. Active secret security clearance or higher required. Must be located in DC metro area for on-site work Cybersecurity and systems engineering experience, particularly in a program office Understanding of DoD acquisitions process, ATO process, and risk management framework Familiarity with the DoD six-phase cyber process as per DoD 5000 series Ability to apply cybersecurity across the systems engineering process Strong communication skills to interact with managers and clients Experience in both operational and strategic aspects of RMF work Broad cybersecurity knowledge beyond network administration Eligibility Requirements: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
