Senior Fund Accountant/Assistant Controller

An investment manager located in New York City is actively seeking an experienced and team-oriented professional to join their staff as their new Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller. In this role, the Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller will participate in .all stages of fund accounting, treasury, and loan operations Responsibilities The Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller will: Assist the accounting team in all finance functions Review fund administrator books and records Assist with management company books and records Support investment operations trade and settlement processes Independently conduct investment monitoring, forecasting, position reconciliation, and internal reporting Maintain shadow accounting internal records and systems Assist in treasury functions Facilitate investor reporting requests Qualifications Bachelor's degree required with strong academic credentials 5+ years of relevant experience, which may include work in asset management, loan operations, tax, or public accounting Proficiency with computer platforms and applications Ability to handle pressure effectively and successfully prioritize and manage multiple initiatives Exceptional attention to detail Strong work ethic Ability to work independently Desired skills Big 4 audit experience CPA or a short-term plan to obtain a CPA Knowledge of credit/direct lending
