Senior Accountant

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the accounting and financial reporting functions for our private equity funds. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in either Big 4 audit or tax roles. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports for the private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Fund Accounting: Maintain the books and records of the funds, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and valuation of investments. Audit Support: Assist with the coordination of annual financial audits and tax compliance, including providing necessary documentation and answering auditor inquiries. Taxation: Support tax compliance and reporting for the private equity funds, including calculations of fund-level and investor-level tax information. Investor Relations: Work closely with investors to address inquiries and provide accurate and timely financial information. Cash Management: Monitor cash flows, process capital calls, and distribute capital distributions to investors as per fund agreements. Ad-hoc Projects: Contribute to various projects, process improvements, and financial analyses as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in either Big 4 audit or tax roles. Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and external parties. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines. A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. An understanding of private equity and investment fund accounting is a plus but not required.
