Cyber Security Engineer

POSITION: TOP SECRET SCI ELIGIBLE SR CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER (AWS + TERRAFORM) ** TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY ** Hybrid: 3 days a week in Alexandria, VA or Charlottesville, VA Program Mission: Our Client is working with the Army Military Intelligence (MI) program to support the overall strategy and migration to evaluate and potentially re-invent how Army MI delivers IT services and the use of Intelligence data and analytics to meet mission requirements Clearance: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Required Location: Hybrid 3 days per week on-site in Alexandria, VA or Charlottesville, VA Team: Will work closely with 5 - 6 other cybersecurity engineers. Will be one of the most senior engineers on the team. Interview Process: 2 Rounds 1) 30 min video interview with Client 2) 45 min video interview with Prime Salary: $140k - $175k Other Notes: Environment Notes: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, containerized environment, Responsibility Notes: Some information assurance work, helping maintain ATOs, accredidations, participating in actual aws configurations of different systems to mitigate actual vulnerabilities and envable controls within AWS to be satisfied. Requirement Notes: MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY Don't need extensive Terraform experience but definitely need some AWS is primary cloud. Additional Azure experience would be nice to have RHEL is nice to have, Linux they really should have, Centos is similar to RHEL, Ubunto Position Overview/Responsibilities: The Senior Info Security Analyst will monitor the organization's networks for any security breaches and investigate/mitigate any issues. Maintain software, firewalls, and data encryption programs to ensure sensitive information is protected. Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Technical Expertise: 7 years of experience providing cyber security support for IT systems Cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, particularly Infrastructure as a Service Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows system administration Experience with Terraform Experience/Qualifications: MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Bachelor's or Master's degree Minimum 7 years' experience working in Information Security Developed security standards and best practices and work as a technical expert across many projects Ability to provide mentorship to junior engineers Looking for previous mentorship/leadership experience Federal govt. experience supporting Army, DoD, or Intel Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility IAT Level III or IAM Level III - Possible flex to get these during the first several months of work Ideally this candidate will also have an AWS certification
