Salary: $30 - $35+ per hour - Depending on Experience Full Job Description Light Electric Co., Inc. is looking for a skilled and experienced Industrial Controls Electrician / Journeyman to join our team. This position requires a professional who can work independently, run a crew, and supervise projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial controls and the ability to manage complex electrical installations and troubleshooting. Our Class A licensed electricians are equipped to handle a wide range of tasks, including custom-built motor controls, emergency power systems, generator sales and installation, parking lot lighting, service upgrades, and bucket truck/line service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Crew Management: Supervise and lead a team of electricians, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high standards. Provide guidance and training to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment. Conduit Installation: Run conduit including EMT, Rigid (up to 6'), and PVC. Ensure all conduit installations are compliant with electrical codes and safety standards. Medium Voltage Work: Perform medium voltage work up to 35,000 volts, including installation and maintenance. Ensure safe handling and operation of medium voltage equipment. Panel Assembly: Make up motor and breaker panels, ensuring all connections are secure and meet specifications. Install new conduit, wiring, and motors as required for various projects. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial control systems. Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety checks and ensure team members follow safety guidelines. The ideal candidate should possess: Experience: 8-10 years of experience as an electrician, with 7-10+ years in industrial settings. Certifications: Journeyman Card preferred. CDL preferred for driving Boom and Bucket Truck. Skills: Extensive experience in industrial controls and troubleshooting. Ability to run conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC) and perform medium voltage work. Strong work ethic, trustworthy, and a team player. Flexibility: Willingness to work shutdowns and travel for projects. Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to onboarding.
