OA/Client - FA1 A4 SC3 - Enterprise Cloud Solution Engineer Position is currently fully remote, but telework policies are always subject to change. Selected candidate will need to be able to report to Harrisburg offices as requested. include the following: Act as a primary point of contact for cloud related questions, technical expertise, administration, and support problems for the Commonwealth of PA. Provide appropriate communications to COPA management, including rapid notification of issues that impact the enterprise cloud environment. Assistance with basic design and implementation of cloud architectures and cloud technologies that meet COPA's technical, security, and business needs. Provide expert level advice and guidance on IT issues relating to cloud technologies. Work with CoPA Delivery Center teams in defining cloud architecture, design and implementation plans for hosting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS workloads on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Work with COPA Security team to ensure cloud solutions meet all security policy requirements. Implement cloud auditing, backup and recovery, DR, HA solutions to increase security stance and minimize risk of data loss and protection. Provide incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. Create & maintain support documentation, architecture diagrams & communications. Manage escalations with cloud service providers and other vendors for a timely resolution of operational and design issues. Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services. Administrator certifications in Azure and/or AWS In depth knowledge of on-premises networking as well as the hybrid connectivity to AWS and/or Azure (via Direct Connect and/or ExpressRoute) Requirements: Must pass an extensive background check. 3-5 years of experience as a System Engineer and/or Cloud Engineer with hands on experience dealing with implementation, security, and standards/best practices in a hybrid enterprise cloud hosting environment (AWS and Azure).
