Description: Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Onsite AV Engineer (OAVE) with a deep understanding of collaboration technology to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in audio visual and collaboration technologies, providing expert-level guidance and testing services to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our organization's collaboration solutions. You will work closely with our technical teams to develop, test, and support our collaboration platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The OAVE will also create and plan processes for conducting internal pilot and proof of concept programs by coordinating with both external OEM's and internal customer IT/facilities teams. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth testing and analysis of AV Systems including video conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing applications Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve technical problems related to collaboration platforms Design and execute test plans to ensure compatibility and interoperability of collaboration solutions with various devices and software applications Develop and deliver training materials, documentation, and knowledge articles on collaboration technology best practices and troubleshooting techniques Conduct regular reviews of new releases, updates, and patches to ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices In addition to the above listed responsibilities, the OAVE will also be required to be onsite at the Capital One campus in Richmond VA, Tuesday-Thursday, with occasional visits to Northern Virginia sites Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in audiovisual or IT field, with a focus on collaboration technology In-depth knowledge of collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams) and their features, functionality, and integrations In-depth knowledge of control system technology (e.g., QSC, Crestron, Extron, AMX) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Optional/Preferred Qualifications: Certification in audiovisual or IT field (e.g., CTS-D, CTS-I) Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and audio-visual signal processing Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure) Working Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
