Role Aircraft Mechanic Location North Charleston, SC (Onsite) Duration 6+months (Possible Extension) Shift 1st shift Pay Range $30- $38 per hour on W2 Job Description: Position Responsibilities: This position will provide critical production support to Final Assembly and field operations including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. o Creates culture that enhances productivity, safety and a teaming environment. o Works cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement. o Ensure LOTO book, kit and LOTO equipment are used correctly and inventoried. o Coordinates with Lead/Manager on execution and critical path of production build Group Additional responsibilities Included but not limited to • Supervising Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) • Review current LOTOs • Coordinating hazardous energy work • Hand off or end-of-shift activities • Abnormal circumstance responses • Verifies Aircraft power can be safely provided to the airplane. • Inventory LOTO Kits Pre and Post shift • Sign into all LOTOs. • Remove any LOTOs from the book as required • Meets with the work team to evaluate where hazardous energy is to be introduced • Coordinating with Functional Test SMEs and ME's • If work continues - coordinate hand-off with the next GC. • If work shuts down - coordinate preparation for power shut down. • Review status of personnel and airplane system configuration. • Transfer LOTOs to the incoming GC's and the Field as required • Sign out of all open Control Log Sheets (X35681) • Verifies all mechanics are signed out of active LOTOs. o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds Top 3-5 Technical/Software Skills needed to perform this role/job? • ABILITY to work with various wiring design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings • ABILITY to utilize and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications Requirements/Years of experience/Etc. • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Field Operations/Aircraft Systems/LOTO. • Minimum of 3 years' experience within aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing. • Minimum of 3 years' experience in advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems. • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Systematic Problem Solving and Standardized Work.
