Great opportunity reporting to the Corporate Controller with our growing beauty client. You'll be responsible for supporting global consolidation and financial reporting and working closely with the company's regional Accounting and Finance teams. Key accountabilities include: Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities including the preparation of the management report and accompanying schedules. Prepare and review of Group and other legal entity financial statements managed by the Corporate Finance team to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and in accordance with U.S. GAAP; For overseas entities, review and understand the differences between statutory financials and financials reported to corporate, coordinate with corporate tax to ensure these differences are properly accounted for in the tax provision/filings. Prepare and record consolidation journal entries and reconciliations for month-end closing; Analyze and document significant account fluctuations for the Corporate Controller and senior leadership. Review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting submissions from subsidiaries; Ensure financial controls practiced by subsidiaries are in accordance with company's policies and procedures; Completion of requests from external consultants such as Auditors, Tax consultants, and other financial advisors. Support cash forecasting processes and contribute to the global cash management strategy Assisting in the design, modification, implementation, and/or maintenance of accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions. Identify control weaknesses and participate in recommending changes to tighten and enhance controls to the Corporate Controller. Conduct accounting research and analyses on an ad hoc basis. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university required Consolidation & reporting experience required Big four or leading public accounting background preferred 3-4+ years of total work experience CPA preferred QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) Strong analytical and accounting skills Advanced excel skills required Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) or other consolidation tools Working experience in general ledger and financial statements, a plus. Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
