Job Type Contract Description Job Title: Donor Engagement Manager Reports to: President & CEO (while Director of Development is on leave) Job Status: Contract, Temporary (3 months) Pay Rate: Hourly (based on experience and qualifications) Primary Location: Detroit, Michigan, with potential for hybrid schedule & remote work options Our mission at Accounting Aid Society is to empower individuals and strengthen our community through financial education and services. The Donor Engagement Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the department in advancing this mission. The Donor Engagement Manager plays a vital role within the Development Department, responsibilities include maintaining and managing the donor database, overseeing fundraising events and appeals, and identifying and cultivating relationships with major donors. This role is crucial in ensuring the continued financial support of the organization's mission by effectively managing the 'money in' aspect of individual donor contributions. Key Responsibilities: Donor Database Management : Oversee the accuracy and integrity of donor data in the organization's CRM system. Regularly update donor information and ensure proper documentation of all interactions. Fundraising Events and Appeals : Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising events aimed at increasing donor engagement and revenue. Develop and implement appeals to attract new donors and retain existing ones. Major Donor Cultivation : Identify potential major donors and develop strategies for cultivation and solicitation. Build and maintain relationships with major donors, ensuring regular and meaningful engagement. Reporting and Analysis : Generate reports on donor activity, event success, and appeal performance. Analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for increased engagement and donations. Collaboration : Work closely with the President & CEO, who temporarily oversees the development team and other team members to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create donor-centric materials and campaigns. Requirements Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, or Business Administration. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field. Proven track record of managing successful fundraising events and appeals. Skills: Strong understanding of CRM systems and donor database management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on fundraising opportunities. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Competencies: Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High ethical standards and integrity in managing donor relationships.
