The Project Accountant's duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Project Start Up - work with Estimating and Project Management to establish budget for Job Costing and Job Billing requirements Review and post subcontracts Create Subcontractor change orders Notify the Project Executive and Officer in Charge of any irregularities Review and enter subcontractor billings and invoices as needed Assist Project Management with Change Management System which includes potential change items, change order request, and Owner Change Orders. Prepare monthly client requisitions Attend "Pencil Pay" requisition meetings, revise requisition as required Enter monthly sales Work with the Project Manager to update and balance cost reports for the Monthly Status Report, Project Review or other meetings Track allowances and contingency reserves Prepare monthly cost reconciliations per project Ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements Participate in any client audits or subcontractor audits Assist with close-out procedures Work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the General Conditions Log Provide on-site cost control training to new personnel Assist with special projects and requests Assist with Project Management in establishing subcontractor wage rates Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field 3-5+ years of experience in project accounting for commercial general contractor Proficiency in Excel required Experience with CMiC, Bluebeam, Textura, E-builder preferred This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.
