Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Analyst II - Solutions Development. In this role, the Digital Pathology Sr System Analyst will review business goals and determine the technical requirements for implementation of a new Digital Pathology Solution. This work will require a detailed understanding of the clinical education and research workflows at NYU Langone. The Digital Pathology Sr System Analyst works with team members to map the labs workflow review IT infrastructure requirements review security requirements understand network requirements and determine integration details to NYU s Laboratory Information System LIS. The DPSA will assist in transforming the current analog pathology workflow to a full digital pathology solution. The Sr Systems Analyst will also evaluate the solution for potential new streams of revenue and review those options with the pathology departments leadership team. Job Responsibilities: This position will implement administer and support assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team The position will have in depth understanding of Epic modules Lab Applications Imaging systems and health system operation Maintains required documentation to conform to CAP regulatory standards Effectively communicates and interacts with employees and clients and aid them in implementing and troubleshooting systems Provide tier 2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk; including 24/7 on call coverage as required Ensure high availability and disaster recovery DR of all critical systems Lead periodic failover and DR tests in collaboration with the Infrastructure and end user groups Act as a technology subject matter expert and clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms between and across the different groups while influencing outcomes The Digital Pathology Sr System Analyst is responsible for assisting in development of Digital Pathology Operations workflows for the clinical business under limited supervision The Sr System Analyst will be expected to design and in collaboration with pathologists and other departments implement cutting edge technologies for the imaging and digital interpretation of clinical tissue samples Perform technical functions for scanning including slide orientation setup annotation and identifying regions of interest as a part of workflow developmen Communicate with vendors to facilitate resolution of issues with digital pathology applications instrumentation and software Responsible for gathering compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems Conducts complete diagnostics of most business problems Anticipates implementation obstacles Develops specifications and designs technical systems Selects tools and methodologies for projects Commits to deliverables with customers and/or management Meets project deadlines Has direct input to budget and resource planning Mentors less experienced staff with responsibility for their technical development Performs other duties as assigned Responsible for the design and development of IT systems Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: None Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $134,408.15 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
