AAK Edison About the role The Continuous Improvement Leader willprovide oversight and leadership to AAK US in its continual improvement initiativesacross multiple sites and functions, ensuring the consistent deployment of thetools and implementation of TPM.Role isresponsible to lead the development and implementation of foundationalpractices including 5S, measures and visual controls such as OEE with losstrees and building forward on the pillars of safety, quality, education andtraining, administration, early equipment management, autonomous maintenance,preventive and predictive maintenance, early equipment management, andcontinuous improvement. The leader must coach the site teams and regional management teamsthrough successful implementation and ongoing continual development leading toimproved metrics and safety, quality, cost, reliability and asset life andutilization through the consistent use of best practices and standardized workdriving towards minimal losses. Responsibilities Champion AAK Operationsstrategy and provide hands-on support and necessary coaching and trainingsduring implementation. Lead effort to implementbest practices across the plant, ensuring adherence to the principles oflean six sigma manufacturing. Assist and mentor plantmanagement and local Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) teams withplanning and facilitation of strategic plans, kaizen workshops, and otherlean activities. Coach and train AAKleaders in Lean- Six Sigma Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and problem-solvingprinciples. Follow-up with leaders andteams to ensure the successful implementation of "future state" plans. Champion and support thecreation of an engaged and interdependent culture focused to alwaysimproving and Making Better Happen. Develop and executethe plan for and drive operational excellence implementation and use oftools (lean, TPM, six sigma) at the plant level. Provide on-going training and expertise regarding RCI tools; participate in RCI Project reviews and ensure the consistent understanding and application of tools. Provide analytical support to continuously identify gaps, project opportunities, and solutions. Lead teams to identify opportunities for productivity and cost improvements at sites. Share best practices with other plants and teams. Drive goal of total employee involvement in continuous improvement activities Identify and implement control systems to ensure sustainability of continuous improvement. About you Bachelor's degree, preferentially ina technical field such as Engineering, with related experience in theimplementation of TPM or with a mature program. Six Sigma Black Belt preferred and lean certified with a minimum of 7 years' experience in various manufacturing/operations roles working in/with TPM and related improvement methodologies such as Deming, Crosby, etc. Knowledge of edible oil raw material and production processes, quality control, cost management, and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods will be a plus Strong analytical and technology skills Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written). Highly developed problem solving and project management skills. Ability to deliver training to large groups and at all levels Demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process. Ability to understand and use engineering drawings and strong trouble/risk assessment. Demonstrated capability to learn product lines and manufacturing processes. Proven ability to work in a team environment while operating independently. Negotiation and selling skills to support change management. Ability to analyze relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate.
