Job Summary (basic description) A Financial Analyst within the Strategic Planning & Analysis team is expected to review, analyze, and evaluate the needs of our business partners and internal stakeholders. The focus of the position is to create reports to support the analysis of the business, as well as to identify business opportunities and challenges. The Financial Analyst is also expected to recommend initiatives by identifying strengths/weaknesses and improving current procedures. Essential Functions Prepare and distribute financial reports on a regular basis. Support the Strategic Planning & Analysis team with the firm's annual budget process. Demonstrate expertise in the Firm's financial cubes and systems and apply this knowledge to support the development, implementation, and improvement plans within the financial reporting and analysis activities across the Firm. Develop new reports using our internal systems, as requested. Support business partner and internal stakeholder reporting and analysis needs. Manage relationships with other business services departments and internal clients. Actively participate in multiple projects by completing and maintaining project documentation, managing project scope and timelines, determining daily priorities, and ensuring efficient and on time delivery of milestones. Identify process design changes - with a focus on quality improvement and data management. Create ad hoc analysis on financial metrics as needed. Qualifications/Skills Required Minimum 2 years of financial reporting and analysis experience. Strong Excel skills required. Ability to collect and analyze financial data. Work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Have a high degree of integrity and the ability to work with sensitive or confidential information. Proactively approach challenges with a problem-solving mentality. Have strong written and verbal communication skills (especially the ability to listen and correlate into financial needs). Maintain a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible with different projects/workload. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent reporting, time management, general math, and data entry management skills along with superior attention to detail. Ability to report research results accurately. Law firm financial experience preferred. Educational Requirements BA/BS in accounting or finance. #LI-LM1 #LI-Hybrid For Westchester County, the expected salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000.
