Description Position Overview: The National Materials Manager oversees the improvement of all operational and materials flow processes and ensures all receiving, shipping, picking, packing, and inventory processes are streamlined and standardized across all facilities. This role includes logistics, scheduling systems, delivery, transportation, loading dock activity (inbound and outbound), storage, picking/packing/shipping process, and inventory control. The role involves up to 50% travel as needed. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the improvement of all operational and material flow processes at 5 warehouse locations (Columbus, Ohio; Shreveport, Louisiana; Lacey, Washington; Reno, Nevada; and Woodbine, Georgia) and ensure all receiving, put away, shipping, picking and inventory processes are streamlined and standardized across all facilities. Direct the activities involved in the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of products, maximizing space and resources while avoiding waste or damages. Develop and drive a culture of accountability through assessments and operational evaluations. Establish effective procedures and controls for the safe and efficient movement of products. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA filing and guidelines. Directly accountable for the successful implementation, assessment, and transition of all new operational initiatives. Develop, document, and execute standard operating procedures across all 5 facilities and delivery operations. Oversee parts management, storage, put away, picking, and distribution to ensure seamless parts distribution. Implement inventory cycle count processes to maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and reconciliation. Document standard operating procedures and best practices for internal use. Ensure optimal effectiveness and material flow through effective use of the NetSuite inventory management system. Serve as the primary liaison with auditors for assigned warehouses. Facilities / Equipment: Ensure equipment and facilities are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to ensure efficient movement of materials and operational activities. Qualifications: Proven experience in operational or materials management. Strong analytical skills and a critical thinker. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Experience with inbound international shipments/containers a must Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures. Experience with inventory management systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
