Accounting Manager

We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will lead be expected to: Lead month end closing process which includes the review and analysis of key income statements and balance sheet accounts. Entering monthly journal entries as it relates to personal and fringe benefits, fixed assets, expense accounts and prepaid accounts. Oversee the accounts payable function which includes direct management of accounts payable clerk. Partner with the Treasury Manager to assist in cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations. Partner with Payroll Manager to reconcile monthly payroll against budgets and forecasts as it relates to resource allocations. Ensure accurate and complete timesheet information for the purpose of resource allocations Enhance existing procedures to provide more efficiency and effectiveness to current systems and spreadsheets. Assist with the annual budget and mid-year forecasting process. Support year-end financial audit. Required Skills and Experience: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Intermediate to advanced excel skills. Experience with enterprise software Experience in Not-For Profit a plus, but not required. Must be an independent thinker and have the ability to identify problems and provide solutions. Must be organized, detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
