JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assembly of Electrical Components: Assemble, wire, and install electrical components, such as circuit boards, control panels, wiring harnesses, and other electrical devices, based on blueprints, schematics, drawings and work orders. Testing and Inspection: Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits. Conduct tests on assembled products using specialized equipment to ensure functionality and quality, identifying and resolving any defects or issues. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faulty electrical components and systems as needed, ensuring that all assemblies meet company standards and customer requirements. Fabrication and Modification: Fabricate or modify parts as needed, using shop equipment such as drills, grinders, and other tools to meet specific project requirements. Documentation: Tag components and maintain accurate records of assembly work, including test results, parts used, and any modifications made to the design or assembly process. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve assembly processes. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and basic troubleshooting techniques. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise and accurate work. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues independently. Other duties as required and/or assigned. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in electrical assembly or a related field is required; experience with soldering, wiring, and using hand and power tools is a plus.
