Overview As a New Business Development Representative for Proper Sky Inc, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities focusing on growing Managed Services Revenue. This role requires a strategic, consultative sales approach, where you will connect with decision-makers across various industries to promote and sell managed IT services such as cloud solutions, cybersecurity, networking, and technical support. You will be tasked with growing the company's client base by delivering Proper Sky's unique managed solutions that address specific business challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Vertical Research & Strategy: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to strategically position Proper Sky's services. Comprehend the specific technical issues that clients encounter within their industry to effectively position both yourself and Proper Sky as a subject matter expert. Prospecting & Lead Generation: Use CRM tools to manage sales opportunities and stay organized. Research, attend networking events, cold-call, and leverage marketing initiatives to build and nurture your lead list in the target market. Work closely with Sales Development Representatives to set first time appointments (FTA's). Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet sales targets. Client Engagement & Consultation: Conduct discovery meetings with potential clients to understand their business challenges and IT needs. Educate prospects on the full suite of Proper Sky offerings, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, data backup and disaster recovery, and other technical services. Sales Process Management: Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and service agreements to prospective clients. Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the technical and project management teams to ensure proper implementation of services sold. Coordinate with marketing to create effective sales campaigns and strategies. Required Qualifications: Proven track record of success in B2B sales, ideally in the IT or managed services sector. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and related technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions clearly and compellingly. Experience with leveraging CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing sales pipelines and customer relationships through the entire sales process. Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients in person. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in managed services or IT solutions sales. Knowledge of the local or regional business market and potential IT needs. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary plus commission based on a quota performance.
