The Proposal Writer is a key player driving new business opportunities by creating high-quality proposals, presentations, and marketing materials within company guidelines, all in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position will work diligently in a collaborative environment, across all internal departments to gather the necessary information, define the scope of work, and craft the intricate details to ensure the full life cycle of the proposal process. This will involve assisting with researching active Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), as well as showcasing proven technical writing skills in the drafting, editing, formatting, and submitting of proposal responses. Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a deadline- driven environment are crucial for the success of this position and for overall business development. This role will require proven skills with writing software including expertise with using Adobe InDesign and other writing software. You will also be responsible for maintaining project timelines, uploading and updating bid records in Salesforce, and ensuring all proposals are submitted on time prior to set deadline dates. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent technical writing skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work that supports business development. Proposal Writer Responsibilities: Prepare and write comprehensive proposals for turn-key projects that include design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant project information and specifications. Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitors, and project requirements to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness. Analyze client needs and translate them into actionable proposal elements. Coordinate with various departments, including design, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure proposal alignment with project execution plans. Assist in defining project scopes, timelines, and budgets within proposals. Develop clear, concise, and compelling technical narratives that highlight the company's strengths and capabilities regarding turn-key solutions. Create necessary documentation, appendices, and presentations to support submission requirements. Ensure proposals meet all client specifications and adhere to regulatory and quality standards. Review and edit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness. Participate in pre-proposal meetings and presentations to establish rapport with potential clients and understand their expectations better. Address client inquiries and revise proposals based on feedback received. Gather and analyze feedback on submitted proposals and contribute to the refinement of proposal processes and templates. Stay updated on best practices in proposal writing and changes in the turn-key project landscape. Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for client pitch meetings, ensuring that key messages from the proposal are effectively communicated. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of proposal writing experience within the construction or engineering sectors, specifically focusing on turn-key projects. Strong understanding of design-procure-construct-commission processes and related terminology. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messages for various audiences. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple proposals simultaneously. Proficiency in proposal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and independently under tight deadlines. Fluency in both English and French preferred. S'assurer que les propositions respectent toutes les specifications des clients et sont conformes aux normes reglementaires et de qualite. Revoir et editer les propositions pour en garantir la clarte, l'exactitude et la force persuasive. Participer aux reunions et presentations avant la proposition pour etablir une relation avec les clients potentiels et mieux comprendre leurs attentes. Repondre aux questions des clients et reviser les propositions en fonction des retours recus Recueillir et analyser les retours sur les propositions soumises et contribuer a l'amelioration des processus et modeles de proposition. Se tenir a jour des meilleures pratiques en matiere de redaction de propositions et des evolutions du secteur des projets cle en main. Assister a la preparation de documents de presentation pour les reunions de presentation aux clients, en veillant a ce que les messages cles de la proposition soient bien communiques. Effectuer toutes autres taches assignees. Qualifications: Diplome de baccalaureat en gestion de la construction, ingenierie, administration des affaires, communications ou dans un domaine connexe. Minimum de 3 a 5 ans d'experience en redaction de propositions dans les secteurs de la construction ou de l'ingenierie, en se concentrant specifiquement sur les projets cle en main. Bonne comprehension des processus de conception-approvisionnement-construction-mise en service et de la terminologie associee. Capacite bilingue a parler a la fois anglais et francais. Excellentes competences en communication ecrite et verbale ; capacite a adapter les messages pour differents publics. Attention aux details et solides competences organisationnelles pour gerer plusieurs propositions simultanement. Maitrise des logiciels de proposition et de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Capacite a travailler en collaboration dans un environnement oriente vers le travail d'equipe et de maniere autonome sous des delais serres. Maitrise de l'anglais et du francais souhaitee.
