Software Engineering Senior Manager, Back End

We are looking for a Back End Software Engineering Senior Manager who is dedicated to leveraging data and emerging technologies. Responsibilities: Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of experienced developers in creating solutions that meet regulatory needs Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, mentor team members, and occasionally code or evaluate code Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and container orchestration services Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Min. 6 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships) At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) Min. 4 years of people management experience Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js 3+ years of experience with cloud services 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks 7+ years of people management experience 2+ years of experience in Agile practices Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
