As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building an effective pipeline of opportunities and winning new business at prospect accounts to drive significant sales growth for the company's North American plants. Dynacast is a Form Technologies company. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC., Form Technologies is a global manufacturing organization with revenues of more than $1 Billion. Specializing in precision manufacturing of metal components, Form Technologies is largely comprised of three companies: Dynacast, Signicast, and Optimim. In total, Form operates 29 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries worldwide with plans to continue expanding. Dynacast manufactures small- to medium-sized precision die cast components by combining extensive engineering knowledge with their own specialized technologies. The company provides cost effective solutions for their global customers by identifying opportunities to redesign or consolidate products and assemblies through die casting. The right candidate for this job is skilled in opening doors and establishing effective relationships. He/She challenges the status quo through industry expertise and insight and shows the value for in having Dynacast experts solve complex, precision-engineered part solution challenges. We are looking for someone for the Midwest territory (IL/IA/MO/OK/NE/KS). This person will work out of a home office within the stated territory and travel within the assigned region as well as to our North American plants including travel to Canada and Mexico. Only candidates residing within the Midwest region will be considered. This position is eligible for a base annual salary plus a promising commission program. Key Responsibilities Own the assigned prospect accounts and deliver significant sales growth through winning new opportunities Effectively establish relationships in new accounts or divisions and quickly understand each account organization to identify the right key stakeholders to regularly engage and sell Develop strong relationships with these key stakeholders and serve as their go-to resource for helping them solve complex, precision-engineered part solutions in their businesses Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry and offer unique perspectives about their business that link back to Dyncast's capabilities Use insight and commercial teaching to show the value of Dynacast solutions and drive urgency for deal closure by highlighting the lost opportunity of not choosing Dynacast Partner with Application Engineering and Plant Engineering to accelerate new business wins and customer satisfaction Prepare and drive effective pursuit plans to speed relationship development, enhance the quality of the sales pipeline, accelerate deal closure, and improve the customer buying experience Identify new opportunities to broaden Dynacast's reach at the account Education, Skills, and Attributes Previous experience in successful outside sales and account prospecting; selling custom parts or components highly desirable Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience or certifications accepted Experience in manufacturing environment Previous die-cast industry experience, or an understanding of tooling, design, and metals is beneficial. An engineering background is ideal. Must be willing and able to travel up to 60%, including to Canada and Mexico.
