Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian Date Posted: 10/1/2024 Location: All buildings Job Title: Custodian Pay Rate: $16 per hour Benefits: Included (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.) Job Responsibilities: Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, offices, and other areas. Empty trash throughout the building. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and counters. Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces. Wash windows and mirrors. Maintain the cleanliness of the cafeteria and kitchen areas. Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging drains. Safety and Security: Ensure that all doors and windows are locked and secured at the end of the day. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Assist in setting up and taking down for school events. Monitor and maintain the school grounds, including snow removal and salting in winter. Other Duties: Assist with moving furniture and equipment as needed. Follow all school district policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, and bend and stoop frequently. Other: Must be able to pass a background check. Additional Information: This position is full-time. Hours may vary depending on the school district's needs. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
