Job Title: Tax Senior, Manager, or Senior Manager - Hedge Funds Location: US-PA-Philadelphia Overview: We are on the lookout for individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to client service to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: Oversee hedge fund tax compliance engagements, considering risk, operational, and tax technical issues. Research tax legislation and articulate its impact on asset management clients for tax consulting projects. Operate in a dynamic environment, coach junior staff members, and contribute knowledge and experience to the entire team. Coordinate multiple engagement teams' schedules and deadlines. Qualifications: Skills and attributes for success: Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player. Excellent time and project management skills. Proficiency in partnership allocations and understanding of private equity carry waterfalls. Practical understanding of international tax concepts such as PFICs, CFCs, and other reporting information (Form 1065, Form 1042, Form 1120F, Form 5471, etc.). Proficiency in managing multiple priorities while engaging internal and external stakeholders. Willingness and ability to learn new concepts with minimal guidance. Enthusiasm for coaching and developing team members. Requirements: CPA or JD required at the manager level or above. 2+ years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Strong external and internal communication skills required for the client-facing role and building strong partnerships with internal engagement teams. Understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. required. Initiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, and challenge the status quo. Development of strong internal relationships and flexibility are keys to success. Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns and Schedules K-1 and K-3. Extensive experience with computing taxable income and partnership allocations for private funds. Knowledge of wash sales, straddles, carried interest, and incentive allocations. In-depth understanding of distribution waterfall. Salary Range: $65,000 - $200,000 *Salaries offered are determined based on factors such as relevant skill set, experience, licensure, and certifications, along with job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
