We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals. The Manager Aftermarket Sales & Rentals position is responsible for leading the aftermarket sales and rental departments in their assigned territories. This includes management of workflow and oversight of people, growth and overall performance. Responsibilities include creating monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, marketing strategies, RFP responses, and quotes to increase the overall market share of generators under contract with Energy Systems. Major Responsibilities: Designs and directs the work of the aftermarket sales and rental teams. Selects, coaches, and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary. Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives. RFP Responses and Quotes Managing a Sales Territory and meeting or exceeding revenue goals Partner with operations leadership to ensure overall GP goals for agreement pricing are maintained Weekly and monthly reporting of team and personal sales metrics Development of Sales strategies and marketing campaigns for Aftermarket Sales Team Develop costs of Aftermarket and Rental operations and manage to budget Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of generator system technology, including competitive industries Support of other Service departmental roles on an as needed basis Work with VP/GM of operations and new equipment sales to establish and execute effective sales strategies and programs aimed at driving customer satisfaction, attachment rate, sales growth, product service, optimizing distribution channels, pricing, and personnel development programs (including training, representative/customer meetings, marketing campaigns) Support contract negotiations according to company processes Partner with service operations leadership team to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals are communicated as part of the sales KPIs Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business Maintaining a positive team environment while exceeding customer expectations. Minimum Job Requirements: Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel) General knowledge of service parts and service industry including, but not limited to, basic mechanical and technical aptitude Incorporate time management skills by prioritizing work assignments Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers, including being a team player to create synergy within the office and company Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to handle high pressure situations Must have basic math skills for computing percentages, multipliers, sales tax, and totals on parts orders Preferred Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree Work Experience: 5 - 7 years of Aftermarket Sales experience (Power Generation preferred) 3-5 years of management experience with direct reports Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Working knowledge of business enterprise systems (e.g. FieldServio, SAP, ADP, etc.) Proficiency in schematic and service documentation and RFP responses related to EPSS Compensation : Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role based in Shelton, CT is $110,500.00 - $165,100.00 . This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies. Travel: Regular Travel Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
