About the Team The Safety Manager is a critical element of the Risk Management Team. This individual will have responsibilities for safety procedures and processes pertaining to Store's, Corporate Office, Supply Chain functions. The goal is to work with locations and management to enhance safety compliance through a positive approach. Overview of the Safety Manager Role The individual selected will have the opportunity to positively impact safety and injury trends in Williams-Sonoma, Inc. They will work with a myriad of individuals to elevate Safety and Risk Management functions in a collaborative manner with the goal to make the safety program an integral element of the overall operations of Supply Chain, Store, and Corporate Offices. Responsibilities Advocate on all elements of safety for locations, districts, brands. This will be accomplished by working with locations and key individuals to ensure a viable safety program. Ensuring that activities have a viable safety program and components that meet OSHA requirements. Performing data collection and responding to OSHA or other government safety agencies. Working with store locations to ensure a full and complete Food Safety Program. Conducting Hazard and Safety Program Assessments to determine levels of compliance and areas of opportunity related to safety and injury prevention. Performing Loss Analysis to determine key areas of injury and claims activity along with corrective measures needed. Communicating results and recommendations regarding safety and injury trends, along with corrective action, to various individuals (District Manager, Vice Presidents, Line Managers, Operations, Human Resources). Conducting Training with managers and associates to assist in compliance, i.e., Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, Ergonomics, Life Safety, OSHA Standards. Partnering with Claims Department to identify areas of opportunity, and success, pertaining to employee, customer, and vendor trends and exposures. Criteria Effective educator with good verbal and written skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization and has excellent follow-through. Experience pertaining to requirements related to Industrial Trucks. Willingness to travel to perform work duties. Knowledge of Food Safety (or willingness to be certified) as a Food Safety Manager. Experience and knowledge pertaining to Industrial Hygiene. The expected starting pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
