Are you a passionate Back End Software Engineer looking to drive a major transformation within a leading financial institution? Capital One is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join the Bank Modernization teams within Bank Tech. You will play a key role in designing and developing components for a new core platform, collaborating with cross functional teams to drive innovation impacting business operations and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do: Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with new technologies, mentor other engineering members Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for a great customer experience Utilize programming languages such as Java and Go, Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and Container Orchestration services Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of professional software engineering experience 1+ year experience with cloud computing 4+ years of people management experience Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks 7+ years of people management experience 2+ years of experience in Agile practices Capital One is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
