Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our clients team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of their financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance as needed. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls within the accounting department. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and identifying areas for cost savings. Stay up-to-date on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring compliance and best practices. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
