A mechanical contractor with over 50 years of business experience specializing in projects related to Healthcare, Correctional, and Sports & Entertainment markets has full-time openings for an experienced Journeyman Plumber. Qualified candidates will live and work in the Caribbean. Housing, Utilities, and More for all company employees will be provided. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of recent experience with performing plumbing installation on commercial new construction and or renovations. Pay is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking, soldering, brazing, and Pro-Pressing. Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Review all plans for compliance with local plumbing code/ ADA requirements and review specifications and drawings to determine work details and procedures. Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers, lasers, and levels. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, water heaters, and fixtures such as, but not limited to sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools. Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools. Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures/equipment and plumbing to these systems. Install medical gas systems if certified and licensed. Install plumbing systems inside, outside, on the floor level, below grade, and in the ceiling. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to live and work in the Caribbean. Proof of state-issued current plumbing license is Preferred. 5 plus years of experience in commercial new construction and or renovations. Must own all hand tools needed to perform as a plumber per the list provided at hiring. Must be a team player and take pride in all work. Must be able to work overtime.
