Sauder Manufacturing Co. sells in four strategic markets: Healthcare Furniture for Acute Care Hospitals, Education Furniture for colleges and universities, Worship furniture for churches, synagogues, courthouses and funeral homes and finally furniture for human services markets which is a diverse network of agencies providing residential housing to many individuals. This role requires being in both the Archbold and/or Stryker, Ohio offices at least 3 days a week. The Market Manager - This role leads the downstream marketing efforts, working to develop marketing programs through specific channels which support business objectives. The role is also responsible to propose and manage research projects, improve marketing strategy and communications by evaluating the impact of programs objectives, and most importantly provide sales, and product support while building brand. This position works closely with stakeholders in the business unit and the core. Research: Observe applicable settings to inform roadmap decisions, on-site visits Attend industry trade shows Develop marketing tools analysis evaluating and improving existing segmentation marketing strategies Analyzing customer data, trends, preferences, and competitor behavior to optimize all marketing Provide SWOP and yearly marketing plan Stay abreast of design and product trends, consumer trends, website and marketing tools trends New Product Development Support Conceptualizes materials in support of existing products and new product launches Develops customer centric messaging for launch materials Work closely with Product Manager to execute product launch activities Tradeshow and Showroom Specify products for shows Manage all show needs, ex: administration, registration, coordinate booth layouts, graphic and support needs, manage services, vendors, and contracts with all outside show suppliers Attend 2-3 shows each year, support on-the-road showroom activities Update directories and maintain working contact show lists Manage products in showroom General Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives Manage monthly budgets, collaborate with Product Manager on both NPD and marketing budgets Plan and execute customer communications with Core Marketing Manage media schedule, work with Core Marketing to create content CRM experience - typically using data analysis to study large amounts of information to extract key insights or future recommendations on go-to-market tactics Manage "The Source" literature inventory and fulfillment Maintain current customer databases Manage fabric offering Manage changes to yearly pricing Provide support as needed to Sales, Customer Care, and Core Marketing Other tasks as assigned by GM and/or Core Marketing Experience and Knowledge Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field with relevant experience A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments developing marketing plans and campaigns Strong background executing promotional programs, product and process communications, and training. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit in meetings or at a computer for 2-3 hours at a time. The employee will also be required to walk through the plants and engineering areas at various times during a typical week.
