Assembler Department: Operations - Assembly Location: Philadelphia POSITION SUMMARY: Assembles products or subassemblies of small and/or medium size parts involving several steps to produce larger units of finish product. Requires fitting and adjusting to meet operating requirements of product and quality checks finished assembles. Evaluates rejected assemblies and finished product not meeting operating requirements to determine cause. Light packaging of finished product and cleaning & lubrication products. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Read & follow standard work instructions. Use hand tools and light power screw drivers. Setup and use small fixtures to assist in assembling. Packages finished units and prepares for shipment. Quality check completed assemblies to specifications. Determines root cause of non-conforming assemblies, repairs & reassembles. Record & report product information, hours worked, units produced, quality rejects, etc. Replenishment of materials bins in work area. Keep the work area safe, clean and organized. All other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EXPERIENCES: 1 to 2 years of assembly experience. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and write. Experience in using hand and light power tools COMPETENCIES: Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Good manual dexterity Ability to perform repetitive actions Ability to follow verbal and/or written instruction. Ability to work alone or as team member Requires accuracy and attention to detail
