As a Electrician with the Facilities and Construction team you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of commercial construction: Skills in all areas of electrical are not necessarily required, but the job can and will involve a variety of electrical disciplines and a strong candidate will be able to perform a variety of electrical tasks from distribution power, lighting and control panels to low voltage.This role involves travelling to multiple Tesla job sites to perform work up to a majority of the time based on project demands. Responsibilities Performs new electrical installations or modifications to existing electrical systems including: power distribution up to 480V, electrical equipment consisting of panels and transformers, and lighting. Maintaining and troubleshooting various types of electrical components Travel to different Tesla job sites across North America as required is a main component of this role. Travel greater than 50% of the time, and flexibility for prolonged durations is required Managing jobs, materials, and tools at multiple locations while travelling Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems. Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Develop material takeoffs for all materials required to perform the work. Work with electrical material suppliers to get quotes and develop purchase requisitions in Tesla's procurement system Performs a wide variety of job scopes including building Unistrut stanchions for electrical conduit and anchoring electrical equipment Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work Requirements Must be licensed electrician and have a minimum of 5+ years of electrician journeyman level or higher experience in industrial or commercial settings. Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC. Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
