About the Company Hiring: Our client is a leading manufacturer in Western New York. About the Job: The Plant Manager you will oversee and manage all aspects of production, sourcing, and planning to ensure that products are delivered on time, with the highest quality, and within budget. Your role is critical in driving operational efficiency and continuously improving processes to enhance productivity and output. •Collaborate with internal customers to provide details on shipping schedules and production. •Oversee the preparation of cost estimates for special projects. •Develop standard costs for new processes, equipment aiding in production planning/scheduling. •Take a strategic approach in process improvements including logistics, planning, inventory, and lead time management. •Develop and maintain an efficient organizational structure for supervisory, sourcing, planning, maintenance, and production teams. •Plan production manpower for both long-term and short-term projects, adjusting staffing levels as necessary. •Review and approve personnel actions, resolving issues in collaboration with HR. •Provide leadership and direction to staff to achieve production goals. •Ensure policies affecting plant employees are implemented and maintain discipline, safety, and cleanliness in the facility. •Manage time and attendance records for your areas of responsibility. •Work with Collective Bargaining Agreements, negotiating favorable terms for the company and implementing them effectively. Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a Technical discipline •5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment •Ability to read and interpret machine and assembly-related drawings •Familiarity with machine shop and fabrication equipment, as well as assembly practices •Basic understanding of CNC machining and CAM programming •Proven planning skills in a discrete manufacturing environment •Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement principles •Effective use of an MRP business operating system (e.g., Infor LN, SAP, Axapta) •Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel •Willingness to work daily in a machine shop environment Salary: $100,000 - $105,000 Work Style: Onsite
