The Quality Assurance Supervisor plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. The Quality Assurance Supervisor keeps departments abreast of product quality and alerts them to any out of compliance conditions in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Maintain the Material Review Area to ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner. Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. Assists in developing and maintaining the ISO9001 procedures and work instructions. Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Associate Degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years of experience in a lab environment. Must have working knowledge of laboratory practices and equipment, testing procedures for chemical and physical testing, mathematics and statistics. QMS Experience required. API required. Production reports and surveys. ISO Experience required. Environmental reporting a plus.
