The Role: We're looking for a motivated software architect to help us build the next generation mobile architecture in the Seller Experience Team at eBay. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Possessing expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering standard methodologies. Collaborating effectively with product development and engineering teams across multiple domains and multiple geographies. Getting into the details, writing code, and ultimately deploying successful systems that can be demonstrated for a broad set of business use cases across eBay. Following agile practices and focusing on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We will expect you to advocate for improvements in code and culture, and to support your colleagues in the same. Exerting technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience. Assisting in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on sophisticated technical issues through technical leadership excellence. Requirements: At least 15 years of industry experience with at least 5 years managing high performing engineering teams. Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and working in Agile. Experience working on consumer facing products. Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results. History of building strong relationships with engineering, business partners, and operational users. Comfort sorting through ambiguity in order to drive to practical business impact. Work with the larger cross-functional team to define and execute the product strategy, business strategy, operation plan and detailed roadmap Proficiency in basic data analysis - ability to work with analytics partners to determine what tracking is needed, how the results will be reported etc Seller Experience Engineering works in small, focused, collaborative project teams and follow an agile methodology. Our cross-functional teams including product management, product development, quality, and user experience research and design work together on a daily basis and enjoy collaborating on large-scale, challenging, and interesting problems. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below. $187,600 - $291,500 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
