Overview: RiverWoods Durham is seeking full-time Supportive Living Dining Supervisor to coordinate the activities of the culinary servers and oversee meal services for residents and guests! Under the direction of the Director of Dining Services, to coordinate the activities of the culinary servers and servers under her/his supervision. Oversee all meal service activities, as well as serve residents and their guests in the dining room areas as needed. Help the servers prepare, serve and clean in the kitchen after service. Facilitates communication between Nursing and Diet Aides regarding Residents' Diets. Collaborates & Consults with the Dietitian on Resident's therapeutic needs. Oversee Supportive Living dining program assuring proper food temperatures and correct diets are followed. Work in partnership with nursing staff to assure that communication about meal service is correct and timely. Responsible for neat and orderly dining rooms and kitchens in the Supportive Living setting. Oversees that daily sanitation schedules are being followed and professional appearance is being kept by Supportive Living team. Supervises staff in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Familiarizes self daily with menu, with special consideration to the dietary spread of the meal. Review menu with culinary team. Assures that therapeutic diets are followed as directed by the Dietician. Listens for residents' likes and dislikes when serving food and works to resolve any problems. Document any resident concerns in Communication book Takes resident food orders, serves food, and busses tables, preset and reset tables. Obtaining food preferences from residents, create database for Fullcount menu. Works with Dining Room Manager creating, amending and posting team schedules. Transport food, trays and supplies to units and satellite areas following proper procedures. Performs side work, coordinate special functions and attend in-service training sessions. Cook breakfast, lunch and/or dinner on units as needed. Qualifications: WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible with day and evening hours. Flexible to work weekends. May be subject to call as relief for absences. EDUCATION: High School EXPERIENCE: One-year server/host/supervise and working with therapeutic diets experience helpful.
