Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (Corporate Accounting - Equity Comp) Our client is a growing publicly traded company looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team and organization. This position will assist with the full cycle general ledger accounting processes and help with consolidated financial reporting. As well as perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed. This position reports to the accounting manager and will work cross functionally with other accounting personnel. The role is hybrid, offers great work/life balance, culture and benefits! Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts Analyze and prepare routine financial reporting Assist in SEC reporting for consolidated entities (10k, 10q) Prepare accruals per GAAP regulations Analyze revenues and costs to prepare for POC reports Utilize Microsoft Excel for preparing management reports using Pivot Table and V Lookup functions Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with other treasury duties where needed Assist with the optimization and standardization of processes Provide support for annual audit Perform ad hoc analysis as needed by Controller Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree 2+ years in a general accounting environment for publicly-traded corporation or large public accounting firm preferred Experience with multi-state or multi-national consolidations preferred Proficiency with large accounting ERP and MS Excel Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement prep Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills and solid communication Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
